ENTRUST Annual Accounts 2010/2011
ENTRUST has now published its Annual Accounts for year ending 31 March 2011 and the trading results for the year and the Company's financial position at the end of the year can be viewed below.
During the year we have continued the Board’s overall transformation programme for the business, through the development of improved IT systems for use by Environmental Bodies (EBs) to comply with the requirements of the Landfill Tax 1996 (Regulations).
The intention of this development and by continuing to improve our performance in delivering our services to EBs, is to enhance the regulation and operation of the LCF, to reduce the administrative burden on Environmental Bodies (EBs) and to provide clear and concise guidance on the operation of the Landfill Communities Fund (LCF).
We incurred an operating surplus on ordinary activities before exceptional items of £6,215 (2010: surplus of £24,778) although when taking into account exceptional one-off income relating to the reimbursement of legal fees incurred during 2009-2011 of £130,000 relating to a case of an EBs that had entered Administration, the overall reported position for the year was a surplus of £136,215 (2010: deficit of £228,296).
