Welcome to the ENTRUST website. ENTRUST is the regulator of the Landfill Communities Fund

Compliance

The Compliance Department of ENTRUST oversees the activity of all enrolled Environmental Bodies (EBs). It does this in several ways.

Firstly the organisations who apply to ENTRUST for enrolment are vetted to ensure they meet the standards required, and to confirm that they are a fit and proper organisation to receive landfill tax monies. At this stage each organisation is given a 'risk' score and this score partly determines how often ENTRUST will be in contact with the organisation.

ENTRUST also vets the works EBs wish to undertake by reviewing in advance of any landfill tax money being spent, the proposals for what the monies will be spent on. This is called project registration. ENTRUST then guides and assists applicants on what can or can not be funded.

Finally ENTRUST then visits and verifies the organisation's expenditure. This is based upon risk ratings the organisation has attracted at the enrolment stage, and the project application stage. How timely and how accurately an organisation sends information to ENTRUST also determines the overall risk score of the organisation.

ENTRUST Training Days 2008 - 2009

Building on the success of last year's events, ENTRUST will be holding a series of training days around the country to which all enrolled Environmental Bodies will be invited. Further details will be posted here soon.
