LCF Contributions: Public or Private classification?

Following a number of requests made to ENTRUST about the status of financial contributions made under the Landfill Communities Fund, Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs has issued the following statement:
‘’The Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) encourages private sector involvement in local community environmental projects. It is not intended to be a form of public spending. Qualifying contributions made under the LCF are treated as private sector expenditure.’’
