LCF Forum: May 2014

14 Apr 2014

Following feedback at the October 2013 Landfill Communities Fund (LCF) Forum there will be two Forums held this year; one on Friday 9 May and the other in October.

The Forum on 9 May will run from 12:30pm-15:00pm at Trinity Bridge House, 2 Dearmans Place, Salford, Manchester, M3 5BS.

The forum gives Environmental Bodies (EBs) the opportunity to meet and discuss a wide variety of LCF topics. HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) plans to manage the event, joined by the Regulator ENTRUST.

The purpose of the forum is to encourage stakeholders to work together by promoting open and constructive discussions contributing to the work of the regulator and government, in addition to generating practical ideas for the LCF.

As an event held for EBs we are requesting contributions to agenda items to be presented by you to the forum. In particular around how your organisation has performed against the Government challenge, sharing good practices, successes or lessons learnt over this last year; or practicalities of the wind-up of the fund in Scotland.

The agenda will also include a brief summary of any current issues from HMRC, ENTRUST and a question & answer session.

Contributions for agenda items should be sent to Helen Derbyshire by Thursday 1 May 2014 with the following details:

  • Name and EB/organisation.
  • Presentation subject – (PowerPoint facilities are available).
  • Estimated time required.

(PowerPoint presentation must be emailed to Helen Derbyshire by 7 May.)

A copy of the final agenda will be circulated to all attendees prior to the meeting.

If you would like to attend the LCF Forum please email Helen Derbyshire by Thursday 1 May 2014.

Please note as Trinity Bridge House is not part of HMRC's estate, confirmation of all attendees is required in advance. Unfortunately entry will be refused if your attendance has not been advised in advance.
