Project Detail

The aim of this project is to provide all of the Club’s members and the local community with all-year-round tennis by erecting eight retractable floodlights on Court One. The lights will have reduced glare and no spillage. Currently, with the absence of lights, the Club’s members that work during the day and local community can only play during summer months. Further, the Club’s aim is to develop its current junior coaching programme to include secondary school pupils. This floodlighting will allow this as coaching can take place in the evening (between 5-6 pm) all through the year, so developing resilient sporting habits and taking away the winter months inactivity.
