Boxted Cricket Club

The existing artificial pitch, which was installed in the early 1990s, has deteriorated so that it gives an uneven bounce and is considered to be unsuitable and dangerous. The pitch needs refurbishment so that children and adult members can use it safely and help to develop their own expertises. Therefore part of the funding sought will be used to refurbish the existing pitch to a suitable standard. As a result the club would be able to continue to expand the free coaching sessions with more boys and girls from the local areas.
The Cricket Club undertakes all the maintenance and preparation of the cricket square. All pitch maintenance is undertaken by volunteer labour from members of the club.
