Braeburn Park – Saving Grasslands

This project will allow us to restore 10.75 ha of the neglected priority habitat dry acid grassland at Braeburn Park. This will be achieved by initiating an intensive programme of scrub clearance and removal of invasive species including bramble, Japanese knotweed, buddleia and Canadian golden-rod. Areas of bare ground will be created and maintained alongside the managed mosaic of grassland habitats to provide diverse conditions for associated flora and fauna.
