The aim of the project is to; (Refurbish bird hide and install wind turbine to provide electricity supply) - already complete Revamp large stretch of revetment to provide and protect the banks from further erosion and widen and resurface the slipway. Thus providing; A secure frontage to the tarn allowing easy access for groups for water sports acivities and an improved appearance. A more stable edge which will be less slippery and will not require replacing every few years. Widen and resurface tarn-side path. Thus providing; A 1.3 mile loop path that is largely level and dry and of a 1.5m width all around the edge of the tarn. Good quality, accessible paths, which compliment the sites new accessible facilities. Landscaping of Old Campsite. Thus providing; An area for groups to stay overnight on site. Reed transportation to create reed bed nesting area and blue-green algae prevention
