Burton Street Foundation, Sheffield – Boiler Replacement (3) (007505)

The boilers are now well over 10 years old and can no longer be well maintained due to age and parts becoming obsolete. They were originally fitted as part of a whole site refurbishment project in 2009/10 when a new heating system was fitted across the whole site which is made up of 3 Victorian school buildings. The boilers have provided excellent and reliable heating until recently. Last year, the building was without heat for many weeks which resulted in cancellation of community services due to the flue system being condemned, leaking carbon-monoxide. The works will ensure that the heating is modern and up to date and the centre and continue offering services to the community.
