Colchester Baptist Church – roof project

Colchester Baptist Church is situated in Eld Lane, central Colchester. The building is a place of religious worship and a community venue. It is of historical and architectural interest and was listed Grade 2 in 1962. The church has around 1,605 regular users including worshippers and members of various community groups which use the building.
The aim of the project is to renew the slates over the original building and the right hand side rear building so that the building is water tight. The work is essential to prevent damage to this listed building. In addition the loft area will be insulated to a reasonable standard to conserve energy usage.
