Copford with Easthorpe Parish Council

When the Queensbury Avenue was built some 16 years ago, the contractors built the existing wooden play area as part of the development. It was aimed at slightly older children (7-11).
The Parish Council has maintained the play area in a fit and safe condition ever since. However, it has not really been used that well. After a series of consultations with the Parish by letter, e-mail, and annnoucements in the local parish magazine during the Spring of 06, a public meeting was held in Jul 06. The result was an overwhelming wish for a play area to be built at the same site, but aimed for younger children (2-5). The residents of the parish wish for the existing play area to remain, and this being renovated and re-painted as a separate project this Spring. The land on which the new playground will be sited is owned by the Parish Council. Recycled products will be used in the safety flooring.
