Essex Wildlife Trust

To refurbish and improve the interpretation at Fingringhoe Wick Observation Tower.
Fingringhoe Visitor centre was Essex Wildlife Trust’s first centre which opened its doors in 1975. It is a very popular attraction, currently attracting over 20,000 visitors a year. One of the features enjoyed by visitors is the observation tower which offers panoramic views over the reserve and the nearby River Colne. In relation to today’s visitors expectations the limited interpretation in the tower falls well below what is required and the project aims to revamp this and add educational activity for visitors of all ages.
