Furnivall Gardens Improvements

Furnivall Gardens is a public park along the River Thames visited by thousands of visitors each year. Our project aims to improve the gardens and provide a better environment for locals,users and passers-by with new planting and new signs.
There is a very busy road running alongside the gardens and we intend to plant a new hedgerow of native and evergreen plants to improve what existing planting there is while also providing a sound and screening barrier. We will also plant some new mature trees with tree guards to replace some trees damaged by dogs recently.
The signs will provide information about the history of the gardens to those passers-by who walk along the river.
We are hoping to start a community Gardening Group to help with the planting.
