Great Wakering Primary School

The project aims to replace the outdoor play equipment located within the grounds of Great Wakering Primary School. The current play equipment, which is 14 years old, has failed a recent safety test and has been classified as beyond repair leaving the school no option other than to take it out of use and remove it. The project aims to clear the existing site of play equipment, an area measuring approximately 230 sq m, install synthetic all weather safety surfacing to the area incorporating playground games such as hopscotch to encourage active play, supply and install playground equipment, including a climbing frame and a trim trail, which will allow the children to practice balance and agility in a fun way.

This project is approved for up to 56% of the total project cost of £26504 based on the availability of the equipment outside of school hours.
