Projects / Greenhouse for the Garden Museum

Greenhouse for the Garden Museum

We aim to erect and furnish a basic greenhouse at the Garden Museum in north Lambeth which will provide a growing area for school children, the local community, our Horticultural Intern, our garden volunteers and house our recycling facilities and enhance the Museum’s sustainability programme.

The existing potting shed, tool storage and shelving will be rearranged and supplemented with additional storage. The greenhouse will provide the focus to the new area providing a much needed sheltered space for volunteers, school children and community groups. Additionally, plants could be grown from seed for use in community and education projects. The greenhouse would be used to demonstrate how plants grow. It could also be used as a subject for drawing for art projects.
