Hipton Orchards fencing for conservation grazing

Traditional orchards are disappearing fast and Hipton Hill orchard is a beautiful example of how much of the Vale of Evesham once looked. It is important for many birds, butterflies and other insects including pollinator species. Old orchards are being cleared to make way for development, changes in land use or just because they have been neglected and scrub has taken over. The grassland in Hipton orchards is managed for its wildflowers including orchids and other uncommon species. Grazing the grassland on rotation, at appropriate times of year is essential for keeping the scrub and coarse grasses under control. To do this we require equipment to ensure that the fences are secure and maintained.
