Howden Park – Green Gym

The proposed works shall see improvements to a number of public greenspaces in the vicinity of Livingston with the main focus being at Howden Park. These works will be delivered through the Green Gym Model, employing a project officer to create a number of Green Gyms. TCV (The Conservation Volunteers) and West Lothian Council are working together to help residents in Livingston to become healthier while improving the local environment. The Green Gym is the brainchild of TCV and focuses on healthy people and healthy places. Green Gym volunteers meet up to work together on improving local greenspaces. Activities such as pond management, habitat creation, woodland management and access improvements aim to help improve fitness while providing opportunites to learn new skills and meet new peple in a friendly, outdoor setting.
