Jobserve Sports & Social Club

To replace the playing surface at Warriors Rest sports ground. Warriors Rest has been used for community soccer for many years whilst under the control of the now defunct Anchor Press Sports Club, but over the last few years, due to a combination of over use, rabbit activity and lack of proper maintenance, the playing surfaces have become worn out. The resurfacing process will not only address the current pitches but will also allow the use of areas around the periphery of the land that have recently been cleared of bramble and scrub. This ‘extra’ land will permit the lay out of pitches more effectively creating the option for training areas or more mini soccer pitches. This will enable more junior teams to play on their home ground more regularly rather than rented school pitches and give then a sense of belonging, whilst reducing the cost of hiring school pitches.
