Lambeth Living Water Project

The project will contribute directly to the UK Pond and London Standing Water Habitat Action Plans (HAP) and the local Lambeth BAP by creating a healthier and more biodiverse standing water habitat resource within the borough and by creating new ponds (HAP target 33 p.a.). It will be of particular benefit to amphibians (notably the common toad), but will also benefit a wide range of species associated with standing water habitats, including aquatic invertebrates and plants, plus bats. There is an important complementary focus on the provision of enhanced terrestrial habitats for amphibian and reptile species, and loggeries will also be created for stag beetles.
