London Dragon Finder – Lesnes Abbey Wood

There are four ponds within Lesnes Abbey Wood requiring habitat management. Two of the ponds are heavily silted and their large size makes it difficult for the volunteer group to manage, mechanical methods will be used for these two ponds. The other two ponds will be restored by the volunteer group with assistance from Froglife. Froglife will provide training to the volunteer group in species identification, surveying, monitoring and habitat management. A biodiversity assessment of the area will be carried out prior to the work starting.
