London Living Waters

To extend the London Living Waters Project to include the London borough of Bexley.
The London Living Water project is designed to deliver targets from the London Standing Water Habitat Action Plan (of which Froglife is Lead Partner) with a particular focus on pond habitats.
The project:
a) raises awareness of the biodiversity value of standing water habitats in London, in this instance particularly within Bexley,
b) sources and re- creates demonstration habitats and encourages Londoners to create / recreate new / existing standing water habitats
c) provides advice and on the ground assistance to borough councils, land managers / owners, schools, community groups such as ‘friend of ‘ groups, housing associations etc on how to create and maintain standing water habitats in order to deliver for wildlife conservation
d) provides training opportunities to volunteers to ensure that the habitats can be maintained after creation.
