Lowestoft: Lydia Eva Herring Fishery Museum

The Lydia Eva is the world’s last surviving steam powered herring drifter and needs urgent repairs. The ship is not only important to East Anglia (in particular to the Lowestoft & Great Yarmouth areas) but is also nationally important. Once restored, she will be based in two locations in Lowestoft (summer visitor and winter moorings) and will spend alternate summers in Great Yarmouth harbour.

Having secured the necessary funding for the renovation and re-fit of the ship, the Trust are now looking for further funding to create and mount permanent museum type displays on board the Lydia Eva to include static, interactive and audio / visual displays dispersed throughout the ship.
