Old Heath Community Primary School

The grant from Cory will be used to transform a room into a purpose built Community facility & also provide an opportunity to extend further the services which the community would benefit from, eg, breakfast club, after school family internet cafe and help to develop a Summer School.

To do this the school requires the appropriate furniture and fittings such as new blinds, replace 16 obsolete computers (over 7 years old) with 6 new ones, computer furniture and comfortable seating and cushions.

Phase 2 of the project (to be completed during the Xmas holidays Dec 2008) will transform an existing cloakroom & kitchen area into a suitable location for the extended services which invlove 1 to 1 or small groups. This will enable the school to offer concurrent extended activities which at present they are unable to do. It would also enable the school to set up new activities. To do this the school will need to build a wall and a door where there is currently a large boiler and purchase blinds for the windows.
