Palace Road Nature Gardens Biodiversity Project; Phase 2

To complete restoration commenced with grant received 2012. Pruning and selective tree felling front of site enabling improved sight lines from road and increased sunlight infiltration to enable more diverse understory. Raking and reseeding meadow areas to increase floral diversity and benefit wildlife. New and upgraded seating provision. Remedial work on the pond and addition of dipping platform to benefit ecology and interactivity. Planting native hedge and repairing boundary wall to increase biodiversity and provide added security for neighbours. Build on increasing engagement with local schools, community groups and residents. Showcase new improvements with Streatham Festival Community Fete July 2015
