Rayleigh Grange Community Association

The project aims to replace the existing 31 year-old electric convector wall heaters in the main hall with a more efficient and cost effective, temperature controlled gas fuelled central heating system.
The Rayleigh Grange Community Centre was built in 1981 by Rochford District Council. In 1986 the management of the Centre was transferred to Rayleigh Grange Community Association under a Full Maintenance and Repair lease.
Since 1986 the Rayleigh Grange Community Association, as a registered charity formed from local volunteers, has voluntarily managed the Centre on behalf of the local community without benefit of any grant, subsidy, sponsorship or any other form of external financial assistance. In 2010 Rochford District Council, in conjunction with Essex County Council, reconstructed half of the interior of the Centre to introduce a local Sure Start children’s unit.
