Redevelopment of Chances Park, Carlisle

Chances Park was bequeathed to Carlisle Council in 1944 by the Chance family and lies in the Morton area of Carlisle. The Friends of Chances Park group are a constituted group of volunteers who have dedicated commitment to preserving and maintaining the park and its original features. They work in partnership with Carlisle City Council and Morton Community Centre. The designated football/sports area of Chances Park will be drained installing a special ‘gravel banding pipe system’ and associated grounds work completed to a presently flooded area. On completion the area can be utilised as a football pitch and general sports area.
