Replacement of Mill Pond and Staging by Brook, Willsbridge Mill Community Refresh CIC (WMCR), Bristol

The Mill Pond at Willsbridge Mill was installed by Avon Wildlife Trust in 1978 after a devastating flood in 1968 broke the banks of the original mill pond and reduced the then working mill to a derelict state. The Mill Pond is now 43 years old and has begun to leak and is in danger of drying up completely. It is overgrown with invasive species and needs to be completed re-excavated and restocked. In addition, staging beyond the mill pond beside the brook is now in a dangerous state. ECT’s grant will renovate the pond and fund the installation of a new dipping platform.
