King Edward II is buried in Gloucester Cathedral and his tomb, as an inherent part of the cathedral, is now requiring restoration and conservation. Edward was murdered locally 680 years ago and the tomb includes an alabaster effigy which is the very first of its kind. it is of huge historical significance.
