Southwark Park, Southwark – Pond Restoration

The project will restore a currently degraded pond within Southwark Park. The pond formally had thriving populations of both common frog and smooth newt. But has become dry and overgrown in recent years. This work meets targets in the UK Biodiversity Action Plan for ponds, London Standing Water Habitat Action Plan and the boroughs Biodiversity Action Plans.
