St Josephs RC Church Refurbishment of Cardowan Old School Centre

The grant will contribute to the refurbishment of Cardowan Old School Centre for the purpose of creating a community leisure and recreation facility in an area with limited access to affordable facilities. The project will for example:

• Increase the number of users of the facility;
• Increase the number of uses for the facility;
• Improve access to facilities and other external services for all;
• Increase access to education and lifelong learning opportunities;
• Increase the volunteering opportunities;
• Improve access to facilities for volunteering purposes;
• Improve energy efficiency in the facility;
• Provide a safe and secure environment for users; and
• Restore and sustain the facility, and its heritage, for current and future generations.
