Stambridge parish Council, Stambridge Memorial Hall

The project aims to replace the entrance and fire exit doors of Stambridge Memorial Hall. The works include the following:-
• remove the existing entrance and fire exit doors, trims and architraves
• repair the area for the new replacement doors
• fit new doors and ironmongery and relevant signage, fire exit bars
• repair both thresholds.
The existing doors to the hall are not secure or safe and the trim and architraves are rotten beyond repair and do not allow the doors to close properly. They do not meet current Fire Standards or health and safety standards. By replacing the doors to the hall it will allow the to open again and become the centre of the community again. The Memorial Hall is the only facility in the village and will be a great asset, which will extend not just to residents but also to other members of the public.
A consultation of local residents established that there was need for a community hall, which offered events for all ages that would bring the community together.
