Stannington Park, Sheffield- MUGA Refurbishment

The proposal is to refurbish the basketball and tennis courts, by renewing the surrounding fence and fence posts, redefinition of the edging and concrete kerbs, cleaning the court surface, and partial application of new tarmac to worn or damaged areas.
The tennis/basketball courts are currently in a dangerous state with damaged fencing and a poor surface. Previously they were well used but their present condition makes people reluctant to use them. We want to bring them back into frequent use for the benefit of the local community, so it is essential that we make the courts a safe and enjoyable environment. If left un-cared for, they will attract vandalism which could lead to them being lost altogether.
