Our building is Grade 2 Listed and 180 years old. We have run a carefully managed programme of repairs and alterations over the past twenty years to keep it well maintained and to enable us to use to the premises in a way which will maximise the benefit to the local community. Keeping our building in a good state of repair enables us to continue to operate our activities at full capacity and rent out our public spaces to generate essential revenue to fund our community projects. The proposed works consist of: sanding and re-varnishing the parquet flooring in the main community hall; redecorating two stairwells; replacing high level lighting and cleaning ceiling beams; external painting to masonry, metal drainage pipes, window frames; replacing the flooring in the balcony area; internal painting to hall area and balcony; installing kitchen storage units and replacing the sink. We require funding for 80% of the total cost of the works. 20% has already been secured.
