To replace the existing central heating

Remove existing aged and inefficient boiler and install a new boiler at St Pauls Church Hall, Scunthorpe.

The current gas-fired central heating boiler is more than 25 years old and unreliable; many regular sessions have had to be cancelled during colder months due to boiler failure, and the space cannot be called upon as a warm space for the community in the winter if the heating fails. Over the last three years, annual service inspections have advised that the boiler be replaced due to replacement parts being difficult to obtain.

The hall has an array of regular weekly users including pre-school, martial arts, dance, choir, art lessons and a drop in café. Monthly groups include the U3A, flower arranging, church cafe and men’s community breakfast. The site is also available for private hire and is utilised occasionally for parish meetings, holiday clubs and bible study sessions.
