Warmer Building Project Fund

The former church building is 110 years old, is cold inside most of the year and comes complete with stained glass windows. There is no gas supply to the building so it is heated via old electric quartz infra-red heating tubes which were installed in 1985. The units are beginning to fail throughout the building. In addition, this type of heating is out of date, inefficient, costly to run and there is no thermostatic control. It is proposed to replace the units with modern heat pump air conditioning which will be more effective in maintaining a comfortable temperature within the two large halls all year round.
