Granite City Woodlands - Inverdee Community Woodland

This area is adjacent to the River Dee and there is already a well used riverside path. The creation of this new woodland will enhance the amenity of the area by encouraging walkers. This project represents Phase 1 of a two phase programme of new woodland creation over a three year period involving the planting, maintenance and successful establishment of new mixed conifer and broadleaved woodlands. It is hoped to enhance the biodiversity value of the City's greenspace and help create new wildlife and woodland habitat corridors within the city; provide environmental education opportunities for local schools and young people; provide new and add value to existing public access to green spaces and woodlands within the city, making them safe and welcoming and places for healthy exercise and relaxation; improve linkages between the City's core path network and the City's woodlands; Please see sheet
