This project will to improve the physical and intellectual access to an already popular nature reserve. As well as new trail waymarking and interpretation, linked to a new trail guide, existing paths will be improved and a new circular route created to ‘Access for All’ standards. Feedback from current and potential users indicates that there is a strong desire to see more of the site. We want to install five wheelchair and pushchair friendly kissing gates and to relocate pond-dipping from the existing pond, which is steep sided and surrounded by tarmac, to a new dipping platform on the adjacent lake for visiting local school groups, children's groups and for other visitors.
