Funding Policies | A project must come under one of the two categories supported by the Trust, D and DA. The project must meet the respective criteria for either a Community Grants or an Environmental Improvement Grant. Details regarding the Trust’s criteria can be found on the Trust’s website. For example to apply for a Community Grant the project site must be within the vicinity of a qualifying Veolia facility (potential applicants should use the online postcode locator on the Trust’s website to identify if they meet this criterion). The total cost of the project must not exceed £250,000 and grant requests need to be between £10,200 to £75,000. |
Projects Not supported | Criteria should be viewed on the Trust’s website. The main organisations the Trust are unable to consider applications from are from educational organisations (including pre-schools, schools or universities, and organisations with an affiliation to a school), hospitals, hospices, care homes, theatres, museums and art galleries. To ensure grants are distributed in line with the Trust and ENTRUST’s guidelines, an applicant applying for a Community Grant must ensure their project meets two main requirements: 1. it must be within the proximity of a qualifying Veolia facility. 2. It must come under one of the Trust’s funding categories and meet their criteria. To apply for funding, applicants need to go through the ‘Funding’ section of the Trust’s website and work through the information and guidance. |
Application Details | If an applicant feels their project meets the Trust’s criteria they can then complete and submit the online form ‘Eligibility Checker’ and if their project is initially compliant, applicants will be given access to the Stage 1 of our online application form. The answers submitted on this form will be checked and if the project continues to meet the Trust’s criteria, applicants will be given access to Stage 2 of the online application form for further assessment. Decisions of funding applications are made by the organisations Trustees. |

Category D (public amenity) projects must not have an estimated duration of more than 12 months and DA (biodiversity) projects need to have an estimated duration of no more than 18 months. |
