Funding Policies

Groundwork South Trust Ltd (on behalf of Grundon). Grundon are committed to funding projects that foster positive community impact while actively reducing environmental footprint.

Projects Supported

1. Alignment with Sustainability Goals

Projects should contribute to our overarching sustainability commitments under Our Planet and Our Communities:

Our Planet:

· Must protect and enhance existing sites of environmental significance;
· Should allow for the creation of biodiverse habitats where nature can thrive.

Our Communities:

· It should connect people to their surroundings, by encouraging active engagement with nature.
· It should allow for improvements to buildings and other facilities that are at the heart of the community.


2. Geographical Priority

Priority will be given to projects within a 10-mile radius of a Grundon landfill (See list below). Other initiatives within our operational area may be considered if they meet all criteria and are within 10 miles of an operational landfill, in accordance with Entrust criteria.

• Colnbrook, Berkshire
• Wheatley, Oxfordshire
• Bishop’s Cleeve, Gloucestershire

Projects not Supported

Grundon will not provide funding for the purchase of plant and equipment that rely on fossil fuel for operation.
