3203 – Hemingford Peace Memorial Field

To provide sport and recreational facilities to the villages of Hemingford Grey, Hemingford Abbotts and surrounding villages. The Hayward Hall floor, which is twelve years old, is showing signs of damage and general wear. Specialist flooring companies have advised us that if we fail to take action to re-furbish the floor the charity will be exposed to the significant cost of replacement in the future. Damage to the floor has been caused by steel chairs, which are stacked eight high. Stacked to this level they are a considerable weight. We plan to replace them with Aluminium Chairs. We are looking for funding for the Floor refurbishment and new, lightweight alloy chairs.
