3rd Epsom Scout Hall – Roof Replacement and Damp-Proof Course

The Scout Hall has asbestos in the roof, this will need removing safely and a new roof will be installed by a specialist roofing contractor. The building suffers with penetrating damp, damp proofing works will be carried out along with removal of soil outside the building to added drainage and vents to prevent damp in the future. Upgrading the Hall for the future will mean they can continue supporting social cohesion for many years to come. Improving the Hall will also mean local community groups and families can continue to provide other activities and events long into the future. The upgrades will make the facility more environmentally sustainable. By replacing the current 1960s roof they will be able to insulate the building more effectively, reducing the energy used to heat the Hall.
