4 Elms Centre, Cardiff

4 Elms is the former school rooms attached to Trinity Methodist Church and located within a Communities First area of Adamsdown, Cardiff. It is a grade 2 listed building that needs substantial renovation and this project will assist towards the proposed conversion and new first floor extension to the west wing of the centre. On completion the centre will improve the urban landscape within a deprived community and bring an unused building back into community use. The centre will provide an expanded range of community learning and training opportunities for local people of all ages. The Centre will be owned (99 year lease from Cardiff Local Auhtority at a peppercorn rent) and managed by a not-for-profit organisation, limited by guarantee and who are also a registered charity.
