422 Community Hub, Manchester – Green Energy Storage Batteries

This community building has been reopened. It now serves the whole of the Ardwick community, regardless of faith or no faith. The project is for batteries which will be connected to PV solar panels & power Air Source Heat Pumps when the PV is not generating electricity
The building is very expensive to heat. Currently uses inefficient 40 yr old gas boilers. Without batteries we can’t store the PV electricity or charge them off peak. There would be times we can’t afford to heat the building so it can’t be used by the community
