A Walk on the Wildside: Access and Education for all at Magor Marsh

Magor Marsh Nature Reserve, on the Gwent Levels, is Gwent Wildlife Trust’s oldest nature reserve. It is an open access site, receiving thousands of visitors and school children each year.

To support the continued interaction of children and adults with the natural environment at Magor Marsh we require that paths, bridges and dipping platforms are all safe.

A number of items need replacing, repairing and improving. The Gwent Levellers volunteer group are willing and able to work on these items but the cost of materials, tools and their support is necessary to enable these works to go ahead. These costs are outlined below:

1. Replace bridge (£1000)
2. Dipping platform renovations (£800)
3. Boardwalk repairs (£600)
4. Stone path maintenance (£200)
5. Culvert repairs (£500)
6. Replace and upgrade Forest School Circle (£200)
7. Boardwalk replacement (£3000)
