The aim of our ‘Access for All’ project is to improve the access to the building in two ways: (1) by incorporating a fixed ramp into the church through the main north door so that wheelchair users and other with limited mobility can enter and leave independently, and (2) by upgrading the toilet area in the vestry so that they provide fully accessible facilities. A new all-weather path will link the main entrance to the external vestry door. A new glazed lobby with power assisted opening will be created within the north porch, which will assist accessibility and reduce energy loss from draughts.
