Abbeydale Sports Club, Sheffield – New Cricket Practice Nets

Our project involves erecting a new four lane all-weather practice facility for the cricket section of the sports club. This will benefit nearly 200 members plus external teams, groups, and local primary/high schools who can use the facilities year-round in all weathers.
We are seeking funding towards the entire cost of the project including preparation of the site, erection of the net structure and fitting of nets, and removal of debris upon completion.
The Sheffield community, particularly children, suffer high levels of deprivation (33.5% live in families with low incomes) and this negatively affects sporting participation, impacting physical and mental health. Accessible sporting facilities (i.e. our project) are crucial to overcoming this cycle
