Access for All at Carr Lake – Mawdesley Equine and Peoples Trust (Jigsaw)

A large pond at the Jigsaw site is haven for wildlife but cannot be accessed by facility users and the public. The aim of the project is to create an accessible route through from the Jigsaw Centre and adjacent public footpath. At Carr Lake pond a suitable wheelchair accessible path and viewing platform, screens and hides will be installed. Interpretation signs will be installed and the education pond a composting toilet will be installed to reduce the need to walk back to the centre by user groups to use toilet facilities.
