Access Improvements at Hedleyhope Fell

The overall purpose of this project is to improve the access onto Hedleyhope Fell and increase the number of people the western end of the Fell, particularly residents from the town of Tow Law. The exisitng footpath is in poor condition and the surface is compacted mud, in winter after heavy rain or snow melt the route becomes waterlogged and unusable. The proposal is to regrade and resurface 60m of footpath, improve the access through the exisitng kissing gate and build 150m of new boardwalk.
