Acorn Hall Renovations

The Acorn Hall is the original community building built over 25 years ago. It is booked every evening and weekend during term-time. The Association has spent over £40,000 of its reserves on ensuring the hall is DDA compliant and installing new storage facilities. There is no central heating or insulation in the hall and the roof is made of polcarbonate sheets which occasionally leaks in bad weather. The heating system is electric which is costly. The funding will be used to re-roof and insulate the hall and install photovoltaic panels onto the new roof. The PV panels will provide a nominal 12.5% annual return.
