Acquisition and restoration of Broadwater Warren, East Sussex

The acquisition of Broadwater Warren – a 180 hectare site within Broadwater Forest, East Sussex, comprising lowland afforested heath, mixed and wet woodland, valley mire and fragments of lowland heath, This(1) by bringing the land under sympathetic consservation mwnagement ; (2) by restoring, enhancing and maintaining 171 hectres of lowland heathland with associated valley mire; and (3) by restoring, enhancing and maintaining 6 hectares of broadleaved woodland, 0.5 hectares of eutrophic open water and 0.5 hectares of quarry
